The five-week Quantum Quest course is designed for high school students aged 16–20 and offers several engaging learning opportunities:
- Self-study: Use our lecture notes with numerous quizzes and exercises, as well as the Quirky online simulator.
- Weekly homework: Collaborate with other participants, submit your solutions as a team, and have them reviewed by instructors.
- Weekly Q&A sessions: Ask your questions in live interactive meetings.
- Discord: Stay connected and interact with others throughout the week on our Discord server.
Participation in the weekly Q&A sessions is optional — you can complete the entire course without attending them. The only requirement is to submit your homework exercises by the end of each week.
No prior knowledge of quantum physics is required. However, logical thinking and familiarity with certain high school mathematics topics are important — such as symbolic equations, vector operations, and basic trigonometry. You do not need any previous experience with complex numbers, linear algebra, calculus, or physics-specific material.
More information about the course content and prerequisites is available on the website.
Students from Latvia are invited to apply by sending an email to quantumlatvia@lu.lv until October 23.
