On Monday, December 18th, researchers from Latvia, Estonia, and Finland gathered at the University of Latvia to engage in discussions on the field of quantum technologies.

From Latvia’s side, two significant projects were presented – the Latvian Quantum Initiative by the University of Latvia (UL), Riga Technical University, UL Solid State Physics Institute, the UL Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science, and the LATQN by SJSC “Latvia State Radio and Television Center” (LVRTC), LLC “Tet,” the UL Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science and SJSC “Elektroniskie sakari” (VASES).

Estonian researchers from “Metrosert” (the Central Office of Metrology in Estonia) and “RIKS” (State Infocommunication Foundation), along with Finnish researchers from “VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland,” CSC – IT Center for Science, and companies “Cinia” and “Erillisverkot,” also presented their research in the field of quantum technologies.

Fruitful discussions centered around the quantum network and potential collaboration prospects.
